The Fun Habit | Michael Rucker, Ph.D. | Before the Bestseller 78

Michael Rucker is an organizational psychologist, behavioral scientist, a charter member of the International Positive Psychology Association, and currently serves in the Active Wellness as a Senior Leader who has been academically published in the International Journal of Workplace Health Management and Nutrition Research. His ideas about fun and health have been featured in a variety of publications, including the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Vox, Psychology Today, Thrive Global, Fast Company, the Telegraph, and many more.

He is a remarkable behavioral scientist in addition to being a good author. What sets him apart is how, in a never-ending pursuit of happiness, which I have also come across, Mike is the first self-help author to call out in the book that if you have any mental disorder or depression, then, this probably is not the magic fix for you which is one of the first realistic approaches to a self-help book that I’ve actually seen making his book truly stand out. Join us as we explore how these components fit into the fun habit and discover its true essence with Mike Rucker.

Reader, Any other serious Catan players out there? A quick shot of how I spent my Saturday with my good friends Kate and Jonathan. 3 Secrets1. Let’s get real about Editorial Reviews For those that are newer to the publishing world, here’s a secret (is it really a secret?): most editorial reviews are written by the author of the book being reviewed. 3 secrets, 2 links, 1 book

Reader, “Did you know your book is a favorite in the Marine Corps?” Steven Pressfield had no idea until a friend told him. How did he do it? Steven says it was luck. I say it was the 27 years he spent writing and perfecting his craft before his first hit, The Legend of Bagger Vance, was discovered. Steven gives us a lot of marketing tips, but after our interview it became VERY clear that Steven spent so much time becoming a great writer that it’s really his books that sell themselves. 3…
