Last November in particular…I crashed and burned from working 80+ weeks for 6 months straight on getting my business off the ground.
A friend of mine, Dave Chesson, recommended to me Gays book a month or so earlier.
Working through my burnout, having an employee completely ghost me, and needing to drive a dog across the country, it was no coincidence that when a flight I was on, headed back home to San Diego, ran out of fuel and had to make an emergency landing (on top of everything else going on) – I had his book to keep me calm.
The Big Leap, happened to be in my backpack that day as I went from one anxiety attack to the next.
We touched down in Ontario, just east of LA to refuel before heading onto San Diego. All the ground crew had cleared for the night and so there was no-one to meet the plane.
We were trapped for hours, out of water, and filled with sweaty passengers now beginning to freak out. For brief moments here and there I began to see glimpses of breaking open the Exit door just to find a breath of fresh air.
Yet still I had The Big Leap to keep me grounded.
Gay Hendricks has personally coached thousands including Michael Dell and his executive team to breakthrough mental barriers and to have the impact they desire to have on the world.
He’s the author of many great books, one of which, The Big Leap, continues to sell more and more every year even though it was released over a decade ago.
That only happens when a book is so good that overtime it changes so many lives that it continues to get recommended over and over again until theres an army of people out there in the world sharing the book.
I’m excited to dive further into some big topics of the book, like Upper Limits and false beliefs. It’s my honor and privilege to bring you this interview with The Gay Hendricks.
