Reader,

I am giddy with excitement to nerd out with fellow dreamer-doers this Thursday.
Specifically, I’ll be covering:

– An absolutely bizarre way top authors think about the first few months of book sales (it goes against basic logic)
– 45 specific marketing techniques to get your book in front of real people (with examples)
– A mental ‘switch’ every author must flip off in their mind BEFORE they market
– 5 steps to go from a scattered and stressful launch to smooth and effective (how to create your book launch strategy from the ground up)

Date: April 9th, 2026, Time: 12pm – 1:30pm EST
If you’d like to attend, you can get your ticket here.

Tickets are $100 – the price of a discounted Groupon massage but instead of spending an hour with this guy….

you’ll learn things that WILL change how you get your book into the world.

Okay, now back to 3 takeaways:

3 Secrets

1. Speaker Seeding Books Hack

Cameron Herold (author of Vivid Vision) has a great process for ensuring event attendees get a copy of his book.

A few days after he’s booked to speak, he sends a follow-up asking if the host also wants him to bring a copy for each audience member for $10 each. (Cameron says about half say yes)

For the half that say no, Cameron says,

“How about I do it for $5 per book, to cover my costs and make sure everyone gets a copy?” (Cameron says half of those say yes)

For the final 25% who say no, Cameron then offers to bring a copy for everyone for free which makes the host ecstatic for the bonus of bringing him in to speak.

It’s a win-win because it’s actually a win even for Cameron to give his book away to people who are more likely to read it and even work with him down the road.

2. The 100 review myth

The 100 Myth: Many people believe that Amazon starts sending love your way at around 100 Amazon ratings.

Truth is, there is not some specific number of ratings that Amazon starts pushing your book on their platform.

This actually comes from the fact that if you have 100 ratings from legitimate readers who read within your niche, you’ve given Amazon enough data to be able to start promoting your book to the right people organically or with Amazon Ads.

Amazon makes money when a book sells, so they actively work to collect data about who your book is for.

With 100 ratings, they know what people who read your book also read, so they can make more informed conclusions about who your book is for.

3. Spiderwebbing

What’s one way to network your way to the top “dream” podcasts and shows?

If you’re serious about making it onto the podcasts with thousands of listeners then make a list of all the guests who have appeared on it.

Then, figure out which of those guests have their own shows.

That can be your initial target list and if you’re bringing it as an amazing guest for those shows, you may be able to get an introduction to your dream show.

Still too competitive?

Go a level deeper.

Figure out what shows those middle show hosts have been on, and start there.
