We built ShelfLifeLite because we got tired of watching authors get burned.

For six years, our team at ShelfLife has run Amazon Ads for some of the world's bestselling authors. In that time we've watched the rest of the market — tools built by engineers who've never spent a real dollar on Amazon, agencies that disappear after the launch month, "courses" that teach 2019 tactics — burn through authors' budgets without producing results.

What if my book is brand new with no reviews or sales history?
That's actually one of the situations where good ads matter most. We've launched campaigns for first-time authors and seasoned veterans alike. The platform adapts based on what we know about your book and category — and our support team is there to help you think through early-stage strategy.
Why do you recommend $500/month in ad spend?
Amazon's bidding algorithm needs a meaningful sample of clicks and conversions to learn what's working. Below roughly $500/mo, most campaigns struggle to gather enough data to optimize well — and authors end up paying premium CPCs on bad placements. We don't force a minimum. But after watching thousands of campaigns, we know what level actually gives the algorithm something to work with.
